Hi Eugene,

I just downloaded SBB16. Where can I find .NET Core assemblies?

Kind Regards,
Freek

Hi Terence,

I am sorry to disappoint you, but support for .NET Core is not available yet, primarily due to issues with the .NET compiler we use. It's still on our list though, and we hope to introduce support for it as soon as the compiler issues are fixed by its vendor.

Do you have any updated information regarding support for .Net Standard/Core? When might we expect to see this in a release?

Thanks,
Rob.

.NET Core 1.0 was a mess in deployment and use, and also the compiler, which we use, was not ready for it. Now, as .NET Core 2.0 is out, we will re-evaluate the compiler's capabilities in this regard, and will see if and how we can support Core 2.0.

We are committed to supporting the advancements in .NET (as well as in other supported platform), but there are factors which we can't influence.

An old saying says that Microsoft delivers everything right starting version 3.0, and that can be the case with .NET Core as well.

Sincerely yours
